Workshop Descriptions

“Behavior: Who’s Running the Show?”

Presented by Wendy Selnes

Back by popular demand is Wendy Selnes from Brih Design who will present this “do not miss” workshop on Behavior.  The workshop – A Behavior Strategy Discussion – will have two parts.  In the first half of the workshop Wendy will hit on the most important strategies to support behavior and behavior change in the classroom.  In the second half of the presentation Wendy will be taking questions from the audience – we will have a 15 minute break between sessions so you have the opportunity to formulate questions about some specific situations in your classroom for which you might want some suggested solutions.

“Using iPad Apps to Meet Multiple IEP Goals While Freeing Your Students to Be More of Themselves”

Presented by Lisa Juliar

Learn to look at using iPad apps in the school environment with a new perspective. Many apps will be demonstrated that can be used to meet IEP goals. The following areas will be addressed via apps: behavior, communication, motor skills, attention span, reading, math, writing, executive functioning skills and more. For 2 years Lisa has focused on gathering the best apps available for all ages and abilities to allow individuals more freedom to be uniquely who they are, learning and expressing themselves in an optimal way across all settings.

This sounds like a FABULOUS conference. Any chance you could either broadcast it or tape it for those of us outside MN?
