Welcome

Welcome to the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota. You will find good company here. The Association is composed of some 3,000 members; more than 900 people with Down syndrome, their families and friends, plus health-care, education and developmental professionals. We are the only organization in our region devoted exclusively to the needs of people with Down syndrome and their families.

We are funded through memberships, private and corporate donations and various fund-raising events. As a result, all services are available to members throughout Minnesota and neighboring states at no cost.

The Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota is affiliated with the National Down Syndrome Congress, National Down Syndrome Society and PACER.

November 2011

You can help support the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota's programs and services on November 16th during Give to the Max Day.

Last year, more than 42,000 donors logged on to GiveMN.org and gave over $10 million to Minnesota charities in 24 hours during Give to the Max Day. As you may know, the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota is the only organization in the region that exclusively serves the needs of people with Down syndrome, their families and communities - your financial support helps the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota continue to provide and improve programs and services.

Supporting the Down Syndrome Association of Minnesota during Give to the Max Day can enhance your giving in the following ways:

  • Win a Golden Ticket - $1,000 will be given to a random donor's charity every hour. You could be that donor!
  • Put us on the Leader Board - $15,000, $10,000 and $5,000 prize grants will be awarded to the top three nonprofit organizations that receive the most dollars on Give to the Max Day.
